Racial Inequality in the United States

 

According to research pertaining unemployment levels, American Indians and Blacks follow the same pattern of being worse off, and the Hispanics follow. Asians and Whites follow the same pattern of being better off. As a result of racial inequalities, the blacks possess four times rate of poverty as compared to Whites. The conflict theory was brought forward by Karl Marx. He saw the society as being divided into groups where there exists competition for economic and social resources. .
             The theory puts great emphasis on the role that power plays in the production of order in the social scenario. The social order gets maintained by power in the individuals that possess the greatest economic, political and social resources[ CITATION Oto02 l 1033 ]. The groups that seem to possess more power utilize their power for purposes of exploiting the poor people. The relationship between the little class and high-class individuals remains unfavorable. The conflict theory favors the high-class individuals over the low-class individuals. The social relationships mainly revolve around exploitation and power. The more influential individuals have more power over the less powerful individuals. The history of human beings primarily revolves around the conflicts resulting from the social class differences. In most cases, money and wealth get created through exploitation methods. No employer will pay his or her employee to become millionaires. .
             The rich pay the poor people less money than they deserve so that they can make themselves more affluent. According to the theory, in a capitalist society, there exists a massive destruction of groups involved. Research shows that there exists no cooperation between the groups of different classes or mutual benefit among other factors. Marxist suggests that the solution to the problem involves carrying out a revolution to break the domination of the capitalist. The society will become reorganized; democracy and mass ownership will solve the capitalist power.
