A Refined Definition of Intelligence

"Intelligence is the ability to make finer distinctions" In my opinion, these intelligences naturally have to work in harmony, and as a whole (Kiyosaki). Differences are where knowledge lies. The differences between a moth and a butterfly tell volumes about the unique properties that dictate what they can be, and what properties that exclude them from being. Distinctions and differences divide reality into compartments that simultaneously allow for a regression of interconnected differences that further define the known universe holistically and precisely. Thus intelligence is simply the ability to contrast ignorance with understanding with a working ability to relate the entire picture and the finer details with each other. .
The nature of intelligence can be seen by people who are blind, deaf, autistic, disabled. People born completely blind better understand spatial connections and their relationships in an accurate map of cognition (Martson). Sight constitutes a majority of human perception, and due to the interdependency between perception, understanding, and intelligence, the best way to see how intelligence works is to observe presence and absence of sight and its sensory components. .
Intelligence does not particularly include or exclude the blind or the sightful. Intelligence is holistic, so lacking in one area does not guarantee an overall lack of intelligence. Because intelligence relies on an understanding of the world, the sense of sight plays an interesting role on spatial intelligence. The universe is entirely occupied by space so understanding where objects are in relation to each other contributes to the intelligence of any being. Without this intelligence, life would have never formed in the way it has. Blind people, counterintuitively, are not at a complete spatial disadvantage. Lacking in sight does not necessarily equate to a lack in an understanding of surroundings.
