Discrimination at its Worst

Affirmative Action is wrong and does not help solve the problems that minorities face. It is wrong is because it's discrimination. It has no place in today's society because what it does detracts from society far outweighs its benefits. In fact most Americans don't even enjoy its presence. Affirmative Action is nothing more than terrible, tarnished and trickery policy. Affirmative Action should be abolished and removed from American society.
First of all, Affirmative Action is discrimination and there is no hiding it. When an employer hires anyone because he or she is a minority, even if someone else if more qualified to do the job, it is discrimination. It is reverse discrimination, in that whites are being discriminated against, while during the civil rights movement discrimination towards blacks was awful. Why isn't discrimination against whites awful? Affirmative action legalizes racial prejudice. If this discrimination continues racism in the United States will become worse. Imagine what you would feel like if you couldn't get a job just because you are a white man and not a Hispanic man. "Affirmative action in college is the most discriminating thing this country has ever seen since the Jim Crow laws many years ago" (Robinson). The article goes on to say: In 1997 the average grade point average for a rejected white student was 3.66 with an average SAT score of 1142. The average grade point average for an accepted black student 3.44 with a 1030 SAT score. These facts show how many students fall through the cracks as a result of affirmative action. Today, colleges must have a completely diverse student body, even if that means more qualified students must be turned away. More and more colleges are rejecting white students in favor of less qualified blacks simply due to Affirmative Action, is that fair?.
The obvious solution for Affirmative Action is to abolish it and never bring it back.
