Bill the Machinist

Bill Hudson may not have any business skills, but his love for the trade may shoot him beyond what he's aiming for. Bill has been polishing his skills as a machinist for the past 12 years, and was Huffman's critiqued accomplice during that time. Ever since Bill was finished from his tour in the army, he was steadily refining his trade. The most important characteristic of Bill that will allow him to successfully manage Hugo's Machine Shop is that he has a positive attitude about learning. Bill is going to have to go through many changes in the way he goes about his business and work that will require him to slow down and learn the ways of an entrepreneur. He will need to stick to learning and developing a "spongelike nature" to absorb all the information he can. Bill also has a 'drive for perfection" that could be essential to making it successfully in the entrepreneur world. He may have to step it up a bit and learn how to say no and how to accept no. Bill's passion for what he does may give him all the knowledge to become successful that he needs. Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, stated that "If you work on stuff that you like and you're passionate about , you don't have to have a master plan with how things will play out." What makes an entrepreneur stand out from the rest, is having that perseverance to grow regardless of how many times they fail. Bill, being the technological genius behind Hugo's Machine Shop, also has some beneficial characteristics that could help him in maintaining the business. He has made most of the technical decisions in the shop, which means he most likely managed inventory, other employees, and tough situations involving customers. This shows that Bill has some leadership qualities and the ability to manage a large plate of responsibilities. He is also respected by the employees and customers, which will come in handy when he may need some advice or help with the company.
