Fundamentals of Project Management

The initiating process helps to avoid spending a lot of money or time in planning project. When the core problem that is supposed to solve pointed out early in this stage, you will be more likely to define the project by gathering more information beforehand. This information is displayed in a document known as a project summary.
The initiating process should encompasses the following steps:.
Defining project goals and business requirements.
             Reviewing current operations.
             Choosing a strategy.
             Gathering requirements.
             Understanding deliverables .
             Analyzing financial including a budget.
             Understanding risks.
             Planning assumptions.
             Forming a scope statement.
             Analysing stakeholders.
Writing a project charter including costs, tasks, deliverables, and schedules .
Any deficiencies should be reported and fixed.
             3.2 Project Planning.
After the initiation process, planning is the key component to contribute to the project's success. During the planning process, simply answering these questions, who is going to do it, how long everything will take, when things will happen, and how much it will cost, to identify the work that must be done. The project manager must also plan how the team will run the project, such as how to communicate, manage change and risk, and ensure quality. All of this information presented in documents that represent the project plan once the project get started. Planning makes it easier to give instructions to the people working on your project, to keep track of how the project is going, to edit course if neccessary, and to communicate with team members.
"Odinarily we think about providing teams with the raw materials they need, but if the project is in a location where they can't get food, work will soon come to a grinding hault. So provisions must be made for the team to be fed – and possibly housed". To illustrate, in the Restaurant Day, even if the food is prepared carefully from ingredients to suppliers along with effective marketing, you cannot sell your products in the middle of Helsinki as planned without a kitchen with power source to heat and make food.
