These companies wanted to look like they were making incredible values of money, so they cheated by price-fixing in their annual report to gain profits from investors and stockholders. I believe that if companies aren't succeeding, corporate greed is not the path to follow, just admitting defeat and filing bankruptcy is the most honourable thing to do. The scam that these companies pulled displays how greed can have an overwhelming affect on people and the desire for money can lead to disastrous results. Every company wants to be successful but sometimes misfortunes can occur and in order to prevent bankruptcy Enron and other companies self-indulgence for money lead to the demise of their companies and to significant job loss. I just think that it is a stupid mentality to follow because it is an act of a desperate attempt at wealth. Is in it funny how greed and power can cause people to do ridiculous things that only affect themselves in return?.
             I notice large corporations and unions cheat their annual earnings by setting them higher to gain more investment or reducing production to raise money on material goods. About 99.9% of the business world is associated with greed and most companies want to feel superior over others. One major problem in the world today is our value of oil and the oil markets. I feel that the people working for these companies are nothing but heartless thieves stealing our hard earned money. Money! Money! Money! Money! Money! That's all these oil companies care about, nothing else! They are slowing down production so oil and gas prices can rise. Is this right? I don't think so. These companies seek one thing profit; they slow down their oil extraction process to gain higher earnings. These greedy individuals have no morals, and don't they know they are making their rich resourceful country poorer? It is just ridiculous. .
