Our Trip to The Titans Football Game

Our Trip to the Tennessee Titans Game.

Last Sunday, my girlfriend and I attended the Tennessee Titans professional football game against the Houston Texans in Nashville, TN. It was one of the most exciting professional football games that I have ever attended. Our expectations were very low, but we were pleasantly surprised by the outcome of the game and the good weather. It was a great experience and I wish all games were as exciting and entertaining as this one.

We arrived at the football stadium with the threat of rain still looming overhead. Upon entering the stadium, we tried to find out the approximate location of our seats. We took time to browse the souvenir shops and other local shops, then we started ascending the ramp upward to the third level. Finally, we found our seats and started to settle in for the game. I pointed out several interesting features around the stadium to my girlfriend, such as the large video screens, luxury box seats, and the team mascot dancing around on the field. During the pre-game activities, both teams warmed up on the field, the crewmembers of the USS Theodore Roosevelt were recognized for their part in the war in Iraq. All of the sudden, four Navy jet fighters flew over the stadium, which really caught us off-guard. Fireworks shot off from the tops of the scoreboards right after the fighter jets passed overhead and then music began to play on the loud speakers. The captains of both teams met at mid-field to call the coin toss. The Houston Texans won the coin toss and chose to receive the ball. Then, the game began without a drop of rain.

The Tennessee Titans began the game with a tremendous blast, which lasted all game long. During the Titans first possession, they began driving down the field methodically picking up first downs with an ingenious mix of running and passing plays. All of the sudden, Steve McNair dropped back for a play-action pass, he looked left, then back to the right where he saw Derrick Mason behind two defenders.
