Bible- How the Book of Acts Elevates Peter

Acts elevates Peter by describing miraculous things that he did. The first occurrence of these activities is in Acts 3. In this chapter Peter and John were walking into a temple where they came across a crippled man begging for money. Peter told him that he had nothing of monetary value to give to him, but what he did have he would give. At that moment Peter told the man that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to stand up and walk. After doing this Peter lifted the man up and he began to walk and jump around praising God.
The next thing that happens is when people are selling their possessions and giving the proceeds to the apostles. When one man did not sell all of his possessions and hid some of the proceeds Peter called him out on why he would do such a thing. He tells him that he did not lie to him, but to God. At that moment when the man heard this he fell down dead. After that, Peter spoke to the mans wife about how they had tried to conceal the money that they had made for selling their property. After she confessed to Peter how much money they had tried to conceal she also fell down dead.
These miracles that I have written about in Acts elevate the importance of Peter. They show us how powerful faith in Jesus can be. .
