The Life of Langston Hughes

Words have the power to influence the world. When one chooses their words accordingly, they have the power to effect society and make prominent changes. Being blessed with the ability to speak to the very souls of the general population isn't an easy feat to accomplish. One significant author named Langston Hughes, had the true talent to reach all races during his lifetime. He didn't write only about African Americans, and the many struggles they had to face. He wrote about a hope for the future, for all races, and taught his readers to remember the past in a reflecting manner. Instead of allowing yourself to be consumed by pain, Langston encouraged people to reach deep inside of themselves for a resolution.
Success can be defined as conquering one's goals and proving to be victorious. The story of Langston Hughes" life is one of great success. He was born during a time of immense hate towards African Americans. People who were non whites didn't have much of a chance to compete in the "white man's world" that existed. The very idea of a coexistence between races seemed impossible. Through Hughes" works that included: poetry, short stories, novels, and political essays, Hughes brought his words to life and educated many people. He always followed his own dreams and never faltered, even when his own people didn't always agree with him. Hughes" astonishing writing talents couldn't be extinguished by the forces of anyone. Even after his death in 1967, Hughes" legacy and ideas live on today in the present.
Through my research, I have found Hughes" younger years the most influential for his life works. There were many people who helped shape him into the great writer he turned out to be. However, what I find to be most striking about Hughes" was reading about his determined nature.
