Political rights of women in Kazakhstan

Today, during these democratic transformations, women are becoming more active in many spheres and trying to compete with men and take their rightful place in a new society. Historically the administrative structure is comprised of men and does not reflect the developing level of public potential and therefore on the opportunities or influence of women on affairs of a society, state and family. It also fails to provide the correct social direction for the development of a society and its democratization. During a new era of forming a labor market, discrimination tendencies still concern women and thus their competitiveness falls (Boshman 1998: 45).
Vulnerability of an unadapted society, absence of economic conditions, inappropriate social and moral environment for development of not only some specific minorities or sexual groups but for that of individuality break participation of women in political processes. Moreover, it does not allow women to enter the structure of authority and power as an equal member. Exactly "as an equal, member" because in a public opinion and scientific analyses there is a stereotype till now, that women represent a steady basis of "conservative electorate and diligently avoid political decisions" (Boshman 1998:55).
We should be concerned whether Kazakhstani women will have chances for occupying not exactly the tops but the high level of public authority. But to have any hope, certainty or believe we should firstly investigate the current situation that can give us a full picture of what chances we- females do have and do not and then what of them we are expected to get. .
Before the beginning of this sociological research there had been risen a big question of what means the absence of women in a governmental hierarchy of Kazakhstan. At the first steps of research it is assumed that this tendency is the result of the main consequence - discrimination of female rights from the mail side, which dominated almost from the first showing up of "Homo Sapience".
