             Throughout life, one is faced with many problems that require a solution. Even thought, not always the first solution is going to be the appropriate, it can worse the problem. Critical thinking will help to understand and analyze to find the best solution. I faced a problem of social anxiety. Social anxiety caused me distress that interfered in my person's ability to lead a normal life.
             I had a problem of social anxiety. Social anxiety is a serious mental illness. During social situations, some of the symptoms I felt were shaking, blushing, pounding heart and sometimes confusion. It was really uncomfortable because I felt that people stared at me, even when I look around nobody was looking at me. Presentations in the Biology class were very uncomfortable and frustrated for me. I am persuading a career in Biochemistry and I know that it requires a lot of presentations in front of many people. I fear of a situation before it even happened, and sometimes days or weeks before the event. The day before an event, I could not sleep well thinking about the blushing that everyone would notice in my face during the presentations. During the presentations I felt like if something was burning my face and my hands were shaking. The social anxiety interfered negatively in my normal daily routine, including school, work, social activities and relationships. I lost my friends and many people close to me. I was afraid to look at them because I thought that they would notice my problem and make fun of it. .
             I tried to find a solution for my problem. I thought that if I hide for people and avoid social situations nobody would notice my problem and especially my blushing. Interacting with people including dating or going to parties provoked me anxiety, so it was a solution. During a two years period, I felt comfortable and agree with that idea. Until one day, I realized that hidden from people was destroying my social life.
