Argument essay Street racing

I have been in the street racing scene for quite some time now. In high school where is all started for me. The street racing scene is not all that attractive to most people. However for the younger generation it seems to be the cool thing to do. Whether it's a rich kid with a brand new BMW M3 or just a kid with his moms hand me down Toyota Tercel. Regardless of the car, the person will still modify it to be faster. Have you ever been driving on the road or freeway, when suddenly a car fly's by you at a really high rate of speed? Some of these cars are capable of reaching speeds as high as 160mph+. That car could've easily lost control smashing into the back of your own car, hurting you, your family or maybe even worse. Illegal street racing is getting more popular by the day. Movies like the Fast and the Furious just give people more ideas. I feel we should do whatever it takes to stop as many of these illegal races as possible by providing them with more legal places to race. First, I will be discussing some of the dangers that are involved in this illegal sport. Next, I will discuss some of my own personal experiences I have had. Finally, I will be going over how more tracks like streetlegal.com can make our streets a safer place. .
Accidents occur on a daily bases due to street racing. Here is a summarized story of two young innocent lives that were lost due to a street race. Shanna Jump and Brian Hanson were on there way to drop off Michael Hanson, Brian's little brother at home. At this same time there were two cars lining up in the street getting ready to have an illegal drag race. George Walker, 32 was driving a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda. The other driver is still at large but he was driving an older model Chevy El Camino.
