China's Future Steps to A Better Ecomony

China might need to look back on the transitions other countries such as Russia and Mexico made or has been making in order to learn from their mistakes.
China has been successful in the past with its communist system; however, this communist system has now become a major problem for China because China is unable to live up to the standards of the modern world. Therefore, it will need to adopt a more Western attitude for it to catch up economically with other countries. These other countries have booming economies and generate wealth because they are innovative, they have rule of law, property freedoms and most importantly, competitive markets. China needs to allow for individual freedom, expression and creativity in order for it to modernize. Instead of beating on the individuals who are different in the society, stand out or try to engage in independent thinking and have their own beliefs, China's authorities should tolerate and support it because that is what will create private businesses and further the transition China needs to make to renew its economy. It needs to research the different events in history that have happened in China itself or in the other countries that have tried to make a transition from a command economy and a communist system into a market or a mixed economy.
For example, what was once the shining city of industrial production, Shenyang, is now just another city in China that is having difficulties when trying to lead its country to a modernized model of a functioning communist system that is in many ways effected by elements of a market economy. Shenyang is suffering from high rates of unemployment and even those who are employed are not content with the working condition or what the government is paying them for running the state owned businesses. They could complain and protest, but the government will not even take time to listen to them and will not compromise because the government has been doing it their own way for centuries.
