Great Britain accomodated Liberalism

 

            Liberalishm and nationalish had a great impact upon the European countries and their societ. Each country had different ways to handle liberalish, each basically failing in defferent ways however. The country that only was most effective was Great Britain. Great Britian was so successful because they accomodated liberalism.
             At this time period Great Britain was the leading industral nation of the entire empire. The aristocracy's wealth was however, based upon agricultur. With great industries growin, the middle class began to invest in the factories, trade, and the banking systems that were evolving. These investments helped the middle class become on-par with the aristocracy.
             in 1832 the great reform bill was established. This incorperated more people into the government. The bill expanded voting rights among people, though there was still a property qualification required and the voter was still limited to male citizens only. This bill created "new people" and the newly created people tended to be more liberal with their thoughts and ideas.
             Great Britain almost completely changed the way their church was ran. The church was reformed and had more tolerance (tolerance for people is a liberal idea). The government was also reformed, the house of commons became more influential where as other contries worked to dissolve the houes's and this only caused more trouble with radicals. Economic reforms were also established and laissez faire was brought back into play.
             The classes and people of Great Britain who were liberals, now had no reason to revolt because all of the reforms were wanted, which made the people happy. Instead of revolting the citizens used their energy for politics. Great Britain had such stability because the people worked together within the system and government.
