Stem cells

Nothing is better than a person with a life-long disease being told that they will be healed soon. That is why I support cloning of stem cells for the purposes of medical research, even though some religious activists and abortion opponents say the work is immoral because it involves the destruction of an embryo when the pluripotent cells are extracted. Many scientists believe embryonic stem cells offer the best hope for treating or curing a range of illnesses including spinal injuries, Alzheimer's disease and juvenile diabetes. I, personally, oppose killing embryos. Adult and cord blood stem cells can be donated. If embryonic stem cells are done through donation, then I condone them for research only. Any kind of embryos that are just killed is murder and is an immoral act.
             2. Stem cells are important for living organisms for many reasons. As already mentioned, human stem cells are a new way of treating Alzheimer's disease as well as Parkinson's disease. Unlike muscle cells, blood cells, or nerve cells " which do not normally replicate themselves " stem cells may replicate many times. In the developing fetus, stem cells in developing tissues give rise to the multiple specialized cell types that make up the heart, lung, skin, and other tissues. In some adult tissues, such as bone marrow, muscle, and brain, discrete populations of adult stem cells generate replacements for cells that are lost through normal wear and tear, injury, or disease. Basically, they are helpful in the progress of life or the continuation of life. Another reason is because the scientists conducting the experiments are not killing children or other's relatives. Sperm and eggs are being donated and so are the embryos from adoption facilities. It is not as though the scientists are letting good embryos go to a waste. They are using them for the sole purpose of healing. If they are helping another individual, then why must morals be taken so much into consideration? Thirdly, people in this society donate several things.
