Both Richard Cory and Miniver Cheevy are Outcast in Society. Neither are accepted but for very differnt reasons. .
Richard becasue of how rich he is thus the average people stare at him and many even loathe him. they want to be him so much, to have what he does when in reality many of them have more then he ever will. .
Miniver Cheevy believes he was born to late he wants to be rich he wants to have nice clothes like Richard Cory does. Miniver is a Laboror he thinks and thinks about being rich having money not working and wishes he lived in the old. .
Richard Cory has money he is well dressed and clean shaven. a slim good looking man. Unlike the image one may get when reading Miniver Cheevy. Miniver is a labor he drinks exceivly.he curses the complace and eyes suits with a loathing. .
Both Cheevy and Cory are killing themselves in differnt ways. Richard Cory shoots himslef in the head. .
"And Richard Cory, One calm summer night, .
Went home and put a bullet through his head." which is a quicker way to do then Cheevys' choice which is just to "keep on drinking". .
Both are terribly Lonely and unhappy. Minivers is easier to see because he tell us that he is a "child of scorn" that he "wepts the day he was ever born". Where as Richard Cory seems to have it all He seems happy, everyone is to busy envying him to notice how lonely and sad he is.
