A perfect summers day

The hot Australian sun was the enlightenment .

The dense heat prompted the urge for me to immerse my body in the cool crystal clear waters of north Curl Curl Beach.
The decision was not difficult to take the trip. We prepared quickly and ran out the door to catch our bus. I impatiently waited for the journey to end so we could embrace the welcoming of the beautiful ocean with a contrast of green Australian native bushland.
When we reached the sand after the hike through the bushland reserve the warm grains of sand were felt as we buried our feet with each step we took .
The crashing waves hit my back and provided a cool sensation that refreshed me and my senses. Although the waves weren't so good, I suppose you could still catch in a bit of body boarding whilst the waves weren't crashing down on the shallow waters.
I and my sister also decided to catch up on the so called fashionable "tan" look everyone's got these days. We did not realize until later that we had made the terrible mistake of hitting the skin with such a heavy dose of hot Australian sun.
As we crisped under the midday sun (P.s. now I know how KFC makes their chicken so goddamn crispy!), we couldn't resist and it was time to balance it out with a bit of deep water snorkeling. In addition, since it was low tide and we were in a protected tide I thought it would give us the chance to discover the magnificent arrangements of barnacles and all the other beautiful wonders.
As my sister and I felt the tide rising, it was wise to start heading back and that was easy considering the waves also started to give a little bit more push.
So we called it a day with fish & chips and an ice cream.
And that was my idea of a perfect summer's day (sadly followed by the worst summer's day "peeel").
