Globilisation on Earth

             With these definitions in mind in this paper I will cast a rapid glance over the multi-faceted phenomenon of globalization in an attempt to determine some of the challenges it poses, as well as some opportunities it offers. For after all the rate of globalization is becoming evitable to stop. .
             .
             The phenomenon of Globalization.
             When most people talk of globalization, it is taken for granted that this is a new phenomenon but the promoter of globalization occurred since the end of the cold war, where countries tried to integrate and to remove these serious trade barriers. Further the first thought of Globalization a person relates it to some sort of material or economic phenomenon, however, anything that deals with human affairs are never economic alone but contain the political, social, cultural, and other environmental factors, as the definition states (a whole). .
             The effects of Globalization.
             From a social standpoint, the demands of the global economy are bringing about profound changes in the work habits and lifestyles of people in their own native countries. In order to meet the challenge of global competition, national economies are obliged, if they are not to fall behind, to "retool" themselves, and this often entails widespread social transformation and dislocation, something which is naturally disruptive of established social practices, and is thus often negatively viewed by both citizens and governments. However, whilst it does have it downsides the positive side is that it brings cultures closer together it also allows social integration and strengthening of cultural barriers. Further to this it brings people closer together and provides a wealth of information especially thru technology.
             On the political side, globalization poses a serious challenge to the old idea of "national sovereignty."(Wriston 1992.
