A Look at Dalat City in Vietnam

Everyone has one special place to remember, to treasure and to think of. Edward Abbey emotionally expresses that "Every man, every woman, carries in heart and mind the image of the ideal place, the right place, the one true home, known and unknown, actual or visionary" "(274). He's completely right. Whenever someone tells me about his feeling on the most beautiful place on earth, immediately I remember Dalat, my beloved city of Eternal Spring.
Dalat City is probably one of the most well known vacation destinations in Vietnam. A lot of poems glorify its beauty and its attractiveness. To the Vietnamese, Dalat is the public space that we can be proud of to introduce to the foreigners. In addition, unofficially, Dalat has also been the honeymoon mecca of Vietnam- it is a city of love.
I love the dawn in this city. When you have a chance to take a sip of a cup of hot coffee in the cool, quiet and drizzly dawn slowly appearing in the distance, a feeling of peacefulness and happiness will occupy you. You can enjoy the view that is frosted with clouds of sweet mist from the hills. Snuggling under the warm clothes, breathing deeply, savoring the cool inhalation, you accompany a friend into town to discover this lovely highland city before Dalat awakes.
Located on Langbian highlands, part of the central highlands of Vietnam, Dalat is 1500m above sea level. The name of Dalat which originates from the hill tribe people in this region means Stream of the Lat people. Dalat is also famous for its waterfalls, parks and lakes. Dalat has many homes built of wood with classic designs, and it also has many grand villas built by French officials at the turn of the 20th century. However, it's very amazingly to me when I find that most of the houses in Dalat have the similar structure of Victorian houses in America. Dalat is the city of lakes - one of which is XuanHuong Lake with the shape like the crescent moon.
