NY Rangers

The game of hockey was invented in the year well the truth is that hockey does not have a specific invention date. To this day, many countries still argue that they personally played the game first. Whether it was Finland, Canada, or Russia, I know that hockey in my personal life was invented in 1992. After receiving word from my dad that my uncle was able to get enough tickets for himself, my brother, and I. This made me ecstatic. For all of these years, I have heard my brother yelling at the television set, or coming home from a game with all of these rants and raves about how the team should have done this and that. Of course this team was the New York Rangers. The New York Rangers strangely have played a very influential role in my life. If the Rangers lose the night before I come to school, my mood is terrible. If they win, I can go on talking about it for hours at a time. This passion of a team didn't just come from me starting to follow hockey. Instead it was my brother who hammered all the facts about the team he knew into my 6 year old brain. These lectures were part of his passion for the game of hockey, and the REAL team of New York. .
Riding on the Long Island Expressway on my way to my first every Ranger game, my brother says, .
"Were playing the Islanders tonight Dave that's the biggest rivalry in the National Hockey League!" .
"What's a rivalry I asked?" My brother responded just by saying,.
"People are going to get hit, hit hard, and hurt. But you need to be very careful, the building we are going to, 50 percent of the people there don't like us.".
Those weren't the best choice of words to say to a six year old that was still learning correct morals, and manors. However, when it comes to hockey, that's just how it is.
As we approached the Nassau Coliseum, I saw people with bare chests and painted Ranger, and some with painted Islander symbols on there bodies. This was all part of the passion of the game, my brother Jesse told me.
