             Roberts is the youngest of Betty Roberts and Walter Roberts. Roberts was born in Smyrna, Georgia a town not very far from Atlanta on October 28, 1967. She had Chatian Clair hair color, and eyes brown. (Julia Roberts Biography). Roberts also had a brother, Eric, and a sister Lisa. Roberts's parents divorced when she was four, and her father died when Roberts was nine years old. Then Roberts received her diploma from Campbell High School. (The Digital Decade).              Roberts first developed an interest in the possibilities of film as an art form, when in of Roberts's favorite English teachers showed the film version of Jean Anouilh's Becket, with the actors Peter O" Toole and Richard Burton in class. Also her parents operated a workshop for actors and playwrights in Atlanta. Then she moved to new york city with her sister. (Current Biography Yearbook).
             In New York City she intended on become an actress. Roberts she had three choices get married, go to college, or move to New York. Since nobody asked Roberts to get married, and she did not want to go away for school. She moved and signed on with the Click Modeling Agency, Roberts weigh in at 116 pound and was 5 foot 9 inches.              In new york Roberts got married to Lyic Lovett in 1993, and divorced him in 1995. Roberts then dated Benjamin Bratt but they are no longer together. Now she is married to Danny Moder, a cameraman, and they were married in 2002 at Roberts's ranch in New Mexico. (People). .

             Roberts's first movie's were, "Blood Red", in 1988 her brother Eric, an already established actor started the film. Roberts first major role came in, 1988 "Satisfaction". The same year Roberts costarred as in of the restless small-town frills in, "Mystic Pizza". Roberts's performance as a domed bride in, 1989 was "Steel Magnolias". In 1990 Roberts had the lead role in, "Pretty Woman" where she played as a prostitute.
