Garbage in America: Problem Solution

What happens to all of this garbage? America either puts it in the ground or burns it. This causes a great amount of pollution. Seeing how America produces the most trash in the world, why don't they lead the world in recycling? Since America's government doesn't support recycling as much as they should, 93 percent of the population doesn't recycle. Which leaves the world with a lot of pollutions, too much pollution.
America's government does not support recycling nor does America encourage it. First of all, there are no recycling bins in front of houses. Only garbage cans. In Canada nearly every house has two or three recycling bins in front of it. Second, this government doesn't educate the public about recycling. People don't know where their nearest recycling center is. That's even if they have a recycling center near them. Finally, in our schools students are not learning about recycling and its positive effects. Also, they are not learning about the negative effects of everyday garbage and the pollutions it makes. .
Garbage destroys our environment. America uses up a lot of space to store garbage. America is abolishing whole ecosystems so they can store their garbage in that area. When garbage is stored in land, the land is destroyed. It is nearly impossible for the land to ever recover from something like that and have rich soil again. Garbage does not only destroy our land, it destroys our air too. The main way America gets rid of garbage is by incinerating it. This causes massive air pollution per day. The best way America can cut down on this pollution is by recycling more. .
So how is it possible to make America recycle more? The government just needs to get involved. First, American needs to establish a program that teaches kids, at an elementary level, about pollutions, its effects, and recycling. A program like the D.A.R.E. program. A program that encourages kids to recycle.
