For this reason there is a question over the true authorship of Shakespeare's plays and sonnets. There is ample reason to support either side; some believe that William Shakespeare, born in Stratford-upon-Avon is the true author of these masterpieces, while others consider the creator to be another. .
             It may well be that the true author of these works is William Shakespeare, and there is substantial evidence to verify this opinion. According to Sam Schordenir, Shakespeare was ordinary yet a genius. This genius could account for his remarkable ability to comprehend human emotion and relay these feelings into dynamic dramas. One basic piece of evidence supporting Shakespeare as the author of these masterpieces is the fact that his name was on all of the sonnets and poems. Additionally, the editors of Shakespeare's works were the two editors featured in his will, tying further connection to William Shakespeare as the author. It is known that William was also very popular during his lifetime, which most likely is because of his great writing. Another supportive fact is that at least one of his plays was written following Oxford's death. With this abundant support, one would conclude that William Shakespeare is the true author of these many beloved sonnets and plays of his time period.

             Quite as evident is the substantial merit to the idea that some other individual constructed these literary treasures. It is argued that William Shakespeare could not have known the slang of the many different groups he writes about. There is no evidence that Shakespeare, an ordinary individual, ever attended school at all. He had no background in the aristocracy and no apparent ability to write these sonnets and plays, demonstrating a commonplace individual in his own will.
