Leadership - Art of War

Applications of the Art of War to Leadership.
This was an essay I did for Psychology. We were meant to discuss how leadership affects a modern business. I admit, it needs a bit of work, but it was the only essay I could find that I could submit here :P.
             Leadership.
As my Enterprise I simply chose a generic large Corporation. For the sake of the exercise, this fictional enterprise will be called Globex Corp. .
Globex Corp.'s activities lie in producing and marketing computer software, but this is irrelevant. I am going be playing the part of a division manager. Under my direct control are ten people, all in charge of different aspects of the division, and under them are the blue collar work-force. .
The scenario is, my division has to finish producing a product and properly market it, in time for a deadline. This is where the exercise begins:.
             .
First of all I should decide what approach I will take to fulfill my duties. Authoritarian, Democratic or Laissez Faire.
Since Laissez Faire is a truly rubbish approach, the choice is between an authoritarian and democratic system. Authoritarian will provide me with complete power and enhanced production by my team, but drawbacks being that employee morale is low and production will decrease when I am not present. .
So it looks as if the choice will be a democratic system, which will provide good efficiency, high morale if operated properly and the best overall result.
Each of the members of the board are in charge of different aspects, which I will assign to them according to their specialties. I may even allow them to choose what task they would want to do, as this will mean that they are enthusiastic about that particular area and thus work harder. .
Examples of the tasks I will assign my board include "Market Research", "Development", "Accounting", "Morale/Efficiency" and many more. Each member will have a specific task similar to the ones above, so they will feel as if they are special and crucial to the task, which indeed they are.
