When Dogs Attack

Then, after the two went to jail Noel and Knoller helped them run the dog training business from behind bars.
Noel and Knoller have a lot of excuses and reasons that deflect the blame away from themselves. In an article by CNN.com the couple said that the dog attack could have been brought on by pheromone based cosmetics that Whipple had on or somehow by her alleged use of steroids. They are also claiming that the paramedics didn't respond soon enough and if the paramedics were there sooner Whipple wouldn't have died.
The couple being accused are lawyers. As lawyers they are professional litigators and if these are the best excuses they can come up with, they don't have much of a defense. A lot of people wear pheromone-based perfumes and are steroid users and, dogs don't attack them. Personally, I think it's a lack of responsibility on the owner's part. I"m sorry to say though is that if you get your throat ripped out; I don't think any one could have responded soon enough.
The couple Noel and Knoller are also accused of "reckless disregard" of human life for keeping the dogs in the apartment building in the upscale Pacific Heights where both couples lived. I think it's ok to keep large dog breeds in apartments, but if they are a danger to the lives of other people that live in that apartment building with you, you should most definitely take that into consideration. Especially if you know they"re mean dogs, or dogs trained to kill, they shouldn't be anywhere around people.
What I don't understand is that if there were complaints made against the dogs of biting and attacking other animals, and people, why wasn't the problem taken care of before the incidents? Even Whipple should have went to the police and tried to get something done. She had more than enough reason to since one of the dogs had bitten her a couple of weeks before and she was afraid to come out of her apartment.
