controversey of abortion

            
             For the past few decades, abortion has been one of the most controversial topics in the United States. There are so many sides and feelings to this topic that know one can come to a reasonable conclusion. Although many others and I believe that abortion is okay, many choose to differ. The definition of abortion means the termination of a pregnancy and the development of the fetus before it is capable of independent life. Many views have been presented such as; what if a woman is raped, what if the parents are not financially stable, or if it was just a plain accident. Others say that abortion is murder, can be used as a form of birth control, and you took the risk of getting pregnant.
             There is always the question, "What if a woman is raped and then is pregnant?" What is she to then do with the baby? It is the baby of a complete stranger and has no value to her what so ever. Is she supposed to have this baby? If abortions were banned she would have to go through the entire pregnancy, care for the child, and provide everything that it needed until he or she was of age. All of this would be because she was raped. Getting raped is something that the woman had no control over at all. People who are against abortion try to say that because she was raped that she has to have the baby. What would they do if they were raped?.
             Many people are not financially stable to have a baby and not everyone is perfect, they make mistakes. So what happens if a person gets pregnant, but cannot afford to give the child a good life? This is where abortion comes into play once again. What should the parent do? If the parent gets on abortion then they can wait until the have the money to provide and give the baby whatever it needs to survive and do well in the world. If the parent decides to keep the baby then the baby has to suffer. Whether it be not getting enough food or an unhealthy living space. Should the baby have to suffer?.
