Lord Of The Flies Journals

Once again, I am the only one who is doing anything of importance around here, and I"m sick of it. Jack and his crew caught a pig today, but since there is no fire, I really don't care. A ship sailed past today, and no one, not a single person cared. I hate this. I want to get off of this island. The pig sure tasted good though, once we did get the fire going. And I don't even care that it is dark out, I am calling a meeting right this instant.
             Chapter 5:.
I just got finished telling everyone that "we ought to die before we let the fire out." and not a single person really understood that. And I cannot understand why. At the assembly, I explained to them how we start projects and never finish them, no one is abiding by the rules very strictly, we don't gather water in coconuts anymore, nor do we use the designated places for the bathroom. Everyone thinks that there is this dumb beast around, and I"m the only one with the brains to realize that THERE IS NO BEAST! The worst thing about today, is the fact that Jack doesn't understand why I have the right to make rules, and he doesn't. The way I look at everything right now is there are two groups; my group and Jack's group. Simon, Piggy and I just got done sitting on the assembly platform listening to the cries of the littluns nightmares.
             Chapter 6:.
The world is at war as I write this, and there is nothing that I can do about it. There is a rotting pilot on the island who flew from the air with his parachute dead. The twins were on fire duty, and they found him on the mountain rocks. Now all of these kids are scared that they are in some danger. So the hunters, Simon, and I all went to go hunt the beast. If the beast is not at castle rock, then we are going to check the mountain and re-light the fire. Turns out, there was nothing at the castle. Jack started goofing off, and I had to break up this happiness and we started our journey to the mountain .
