Odysseus: A Hero

Odysseus is a hero to me and to many other people, for many reasons. One of these reasons is because he is kind and truthful. Odysseus is also a very intelligent person; he can save himself no matter what the circumstances are. Odysseus is also very loyal to his wife and crew. For these 3 reasons, Odysseus is a hero to me.
The first character trait that separates Odysseus for many other people and makes him a hero is that he is very kind. Odysseus would of done anything to help his crew, and he always looked at the good and positive side of people. Odysseus is very truthful. He told his men everything, and didn't keep secrets. He was always thinking of his wife and his son. He does not lie about anything, and he is very determined. .
Another character trait that makes Odysseus a respectable hero is his keen intellect. Odysseus is a very intelligent person. For example, when Odysseus met the Cyclops, he stated his name as "Nobody" and fooled the Cyclops. Odysseus killed the Cyclops when he was asleep, and the Cyclops screamed, "Nobody is killing me!!" so the mother Cyclops did not worry. Odysseus also fooled a goddess that had turned his crewmates into farm animals. Odysseus ate poison to counter attack the goddess spell.
Finally, Odysseus was a very loyal person. He did not lie or cheat. He kept no secrets from his crew members, and stayed true to his wife and child. During his whole adventure Odysseus traveled many far away paces, but during that long period of time, Odysseus always kept in mind the most important thing to him, his wife and son. Also during his adventure, Odysseus did not hide anything from the rest of his fellow warriors.
In conclusion, I believe that Odysseus, is very worthy of the title "hero", I admire Odysseus very much.
