Reaching Out to America's Future

America's future lies in the hands of every American citizen. Whether you are a farmer in Kansas or a businessperson in New York, it is not only a virtue but also a duty to help your country in any way you can. Perhaps the most important way somebody can help America is by reaching out to America's future. We should help it by trying to keep America as free as our forefathers intended it to be. This is because America without its freedoms would make our country no better than any other country. Throughout America's history Americans have fought and died to get, and to protect our freedoms so the least we can do is try to maintain them. There are many peaceful ways we can go about achieving this, such as joining groups and organizations that try to preserve certain rights. Yet, sometimes, even the United States of America needs to defend those freedoms that make it such a great nation. .
Preserving America's freedoms is probably the best thing Americans can do to plan for their future. The importance of this can be shown from events that have taken place in the past. The founding fathers made the Bill of Rights consisting of what is considered to be inalienable rights. The principle of separation of power among the executive, legislative and judicial branches was devised to maintain the delicate balance between the authority of the federal government and the rights and liberties of the individual citizen. The Civil War, a war where never before and not since have so many Americans died in battle, was largely attributed to our rights, which demonstrated the importance of all American's freedoms. Another of the more recent events that showed how important our rights are, was the Civil Rights Movement. All throughout the history of our nation, even during the creation of it, freedoms have been a critical part of what makes the United States of America such a great nation. .
