Minorities suffered most from this ideology because they were considered the "outsiders- in the new states and attempted to deal with the circumstances. Some left the state looking for acceptance in another states only to find themselves out in the cold with no homeland. Some were actually traded to their countries for other people. The Greeks and Turks, for example, tried to trade citizens based on religion (the Greeks being Orthodox Christians and the Turks, Muslims). .
             Eastern Europe was getting away from capitalism and leaning towards a more socialist state. The countries were left in confusion and leaders such as Adolf Hitler, took hold of the opportunity and presented themselves to their respective states as the hope for a new order. Hitler used his idea of Nazism to execute his intentions of world domination and social engineering. Social engineering did not allow for civil society to evolve on its own. Instead, it forced the hand of nature to evolve in a way, which Hitler believed was best. .
             The states, such as Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, received much support from their citizens in its quest to lay claim as a great power. Germany encouraged its citizens to have babies in order to increase the population. It even rewarded woman for having large families and giving up their jobs to have babies, by awarding them citations and monetary rewards. National health was a main focus of the state with the government trying to encourage "racial health."" A handbook was given out in Germany, which outlined what was expected of its citizens. .
             Hitler delivered "peace " to the battle between big business and organized labor by putting combating members into camps and forcing the workers and employers to get back to business. The democratic order, which was being used in the United States and Britain, was thrown out and there was a new authoritarian rule over labor. The state became autarkic and provided itself with all the goods it needed in order to survive.
