Future Strategies For Sprint

In the wireless market, in order to remain on the top of your game and not relinquish your market share, your company must implement a future strategy to continue its success. For Sprint, there are many different grand strategies they should take to continue growing. .
The first step to achieve success is for Sprint to consider expanding its present status. They would also have an option of contracting, or staying stagnant, but with the constant change in technology, they must use expansion to stay ahead of the competition. There are two forms of expansion that Sprint should really consider in order to become a market leader. .
The first form of expansion is through diversification. In diversification strategies, there are two sub categories: concentric diversification, and conglomerate diversification. Sprint should consider using concentric diversification. Through concentric diversification, Sprint would acquire businesses that would be in a related industry. For example, Sprint will work with a company named Acterna, "to provide a complete suite of services, including videoconferencing, Managed Network Services (MNS), and global communications services." (Shafer, Jeff, "Acterna Selects Sprint to Deliver Powerful Network, IT Solutions, Sprint Media Relations.) By choosing Sprint to work with, Acterna will drastically improve its telecommunications capabilities by using their correct products and services. Sprint is widely recognized for developing, engineering and deploying state-of-the-art technologies, including the United States" first nationwide all-digital, fiber-optic network and their award-winning Tier 1 Internet Backbone. Sprint also provides local voice and data services in 18 states and operates the largest 100-percent digital, nationwide PCS wireless network in the United States. With all this said, Sprint has already turned to another related company to expand its services and penetrate a new market.
