Yet teachers, particularly at the secondary school level, and most particularly in inner city schools, lack the subject content skills to teach these subjects effectively. .
             While there is evidence of certain racial, and gender based biases on who has access to technology and the proper education, the true factor of who has access is socioeconomic. Many of the more affluent school districts and students are more than likely to get valuable computer education and experience that poorer students may not.
             The Scope of the Project.
             The scope of the project is that inner city school are lacking when it comes to teaching the students about technology. The inner city schools have majority black students then white ones. Many kids in the suburban school district have access to tech classes and software training that is highly advanced by most inner city standards. In a city where computers and technology are a big part of the economy, these kids have a big advantage.
             The Importance/Significance of the Project.
             The importance of the project is what society needs to do help under privilege kids and to mend the digital divide. For many students in schools that feel the negative effects of the digital divide, a lack of access to technology may not be the only problem. Regardless of the level of access, teachers may not have sufficient training and knowledge to teach about technology and make the most of the equipment available within the school. .
             Setting up a computer recycling center with functioning and non functioning used computers. The non-functioning computers donated could be used for parts to repair other computers or to teach students how to repair them and their components. Functioning computers could be immediately shipped to schools and computer workshops where they could be utilized by students and teachers alike. .
             Definition of Terms.
             Affluent - having a generously sufficient and typically increasing supply of material possessions.
