The majority of fruit for the Chardonnay was drawn from Margaret River, resulting in an intensity of flavour that carries through the palate from the first taste to the extended finish. It is a medium bodied wine that exhibits much finesse. .
The Shiraz has rich dark plum flavours with hints of white pepper and ripe berry. It is a wine that displays well-defined Shiraz characters of fresh mulberry fruits, vanilla and spice. It is ideal for those casual and relaxed occasions when you desire a full-flavoured but smooth drinking red wine. Even though wine is not a central part of the local Singapore food culture, I am sure the Singaporeans would adopt an instant attraction to this wine. .
The Twice-Oaked Merlot consists of rich full flavours, has complexity in structure that gives drinking satisfaction and a smooth, easy drinking finish (www.palandri.com.au). This wine would be the least suited to the Singaporeans as it is perfect for drinking in winter months, and the climate in Singapore is more tropical and humid.
The Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich West Australian wine. It is a perfect accompaniment to succulent roast meat dishes so it therefore would suit the international population within Singapore, rather than the locals. The Cabernet Sauvignon has a combination of ripe fruit from the Margaret River region and the palate is an explosion of berry fruit flavours and toasty oak flavours. I assure you that this wine is superb!.
Due to the humid climate in Singapore there is a large preference for white wines. It is predicted that the Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and the Chardonnay will be more popular than the red wines.
