            The failed invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs represents the mismanagement, overconfidence and lack of security of our youngest president. John F. Kennedy. The failure of this operation caused a rise in tension between the two great superpowers. The blame for Cuba's fall out falls directly into the lap of the president and the CIA. .
             The motive to eliminate Cuba is because of their relationship with Soviet Union, and U.S. hatred toward Soviet only strengthen Kennedy's beliefs that Cuba possess concrete thereat for the U.S.
             One reason for this obsession may be the widely believed concept that all communisms emerged from the same source and had a unified goal: to challenge imperialism and take over the world. The source of communism at that era was Soviet Union, which possess a great power equaled only by U.S. .
             A decade earlier, Senator Joseph McCarthy ordered a witch-hunt to track down all individuals involved in communism. The hunt send signal and terror to American society, it quickly led into beliefs that communism are threatening their lives, whether it exist in U.S. or outside U.S. .
             The Bay of Pigs incident highlights such paranoia. .
             According to Peter Kornbluh in his book, "Bay of Pigs Declassified: The Secret CIA Report on the Invasion of Cuba", Kennedy were fueled by strong conviction after he receives misleading information from CIA. He drafted an agenda for the Cuba hidden operation that will result in: .
             1) The creation of a responsible and unified Cuban opposition to the Castro regime located outside of Cuba,.
             2) The development of a means for mass communication to the Cuban people as part of a powerful propaganda offensive,.
             3) The creation and development of a covert intelligence and action organization within Cuba which would respond to the orders and directions of the exile opposition, and.
             4) The development of a paramilitary force outside of Cuba for future guerrilla action.
             The Bay of Pigs invasion of April 1961 started a few days before on April 15th with the bombing of Cuba by what appeared to be defecting Cuban air force pilots.
