"Family environment and adolescents" well-being before and after parents" martial disruption: a longitudinal analysis" is one of the articles I chose to use in this paper. The article had an innovative approach to studying youths affected by marital disruption. It not only focused on the "post-disruption" it analyzed "pre-disruption" and its effects o the youth. Numerous amounts of " family research has provided convincing evidence that children of divorce tend to experience academic, social and psychological difficulties than their peers raised by two biological parents." ---.

The person I interviewed for this assignment is a dear friend of mine. She was a social work major and would therefore like to remain anonymous. I must admit certain responses to the questions caught me of guard, considering the closeness of our relationship. Due to our conflicting schedules and geographical distance our interview was conducted over the telephone. This type of interviewing disappointed me though to the intensity of the subject matter. I believe I would have benefited more if I could have seen her face as she spoke.
When I was first introduced to Ms. Eve Combs (alias) I thought her father was deceased, due to the lack of discussion when it came to him. Ms. Combs is a 21-years-old female who's parents divorced when she was 13-years-old. Her parents had been together for 11 years before they decided to get married. They were married for two years then they decided to divorce. I was as stunned hearing it the first time, as I had been the first time, due to my Caribbean upbringing. Ms. Combs is American. It surprises me how two people could be together so long and it not work. Funny enough Ms.
