Napster

Sean Fanning is not a name that you may be to familiar with, but he has forever changed the music industry. He created the ever famous website, Napster. Napster is a website where members can now legally share, download, and burn C.D.'s for a fee. Napster has come a long way from when he first created the website. In the beginning there were problems with the copyright infringement laws and the recording artists and music industry. Now with the "New Napster", you pay a fee for unlimited downloads and 0.99 per song you burn. Napster is in my opinion a great website because it offers people a way to download new and old music, burn their own C.D.'s combining their own variety of songs they like, a great advancement for the music industry, and job oppuritunies.
Have you ever been driving and heard a song, but didn't know the title, or artist, but you know the words? Try finding that song in the music store. But an excellent feature on Napster is that you can search by title, artist, or even by some of the words of the song. One of the glitches with Napster is that the person that has that file up for sharing is the one that names the song and artist, so you may run into some songs being wrongly named by title or artist. Even with that Napster is still a great website to find new songs as well as old songs. Napster also has a feature that will let you find other songs by the artist that you have just selected to download their song. Another great feature with Napster is that some of the songs even come with a video attached to it. Sharing and downloading songs are easy to do, sign up, pay your fee, and download away. One thing that I have learned with Napster, as well with any website that offers the same features; the more you share the faster your downloading time is. You will never be able to run out of songs that you will want to download, once you start to download you will continue to think of other songs that you want, trust me.
