Heroes

Heroes are those in your life, which you look up to. You have many heroes through your life. They come and they go as time passes. A new day brings a new hero and as times change, so does the hero. A hero means many things to many people. For some it represents the ultimate in appearance and personality, while for others it represents someone who has done something to help others beyond the call of duty. Yet, as time passes heroes still remain in our minds. We look back in the past at our former heroes to se what we were. We learn from this to better understand human nature and what compels it to the extent in which we focus in on someone and make that person our hero. A hero that we may look up to in our times of need and rejoice with in our in our times of prosperity. We keep these heroes in our minds and in our hearts, and throughout the decades we follow them through their rise and through their fall from the pedestal, which we have placed them on, and make way for the next hero to come.
Through the different trends that have occurred through time, the heroes have changed with them. They came to us through the decades one by one, creating new trends in fashion and attitude. They showed us where we've come from, and led us for what was yet to come. If they made their own style and wanted us to follow, we typically did. They showed us what was right and what was wrong. In the end we discovered they were people just like us, and they weren't immortal as we once thought. From the sixties sprung up many heroes that would change our thoughts and beliefs. Heroes such as Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, and Janis Joplin. These people represented their decade in their entirety. But, they showed their fans how mortal they really were, and that even with all they had, drugs and tragedy would take them before their time.
From the seventies sprung up heroes that would change the music that we listened to and the way we dressed.
