Why Did The Italian Revolutions Of 1820 And 1830 Fail

Why did the Italian revolutions of 1820 and 1830 fail?.
After the defeat of Napoloen, things for Italy were about to change due to treaty of Vienna. Italy was forced to abide by the old Government and rules as well as having being split up into seven seperate areas. This is the main cause for the revolutions in the first place. There was little success from the the revolutions, and this lead to them fail.
Failure of these revolutions was due to many different factors. One main reason for the concistant failure was because different rebelling groups didn't have anything in common. Where some people just wanted contitutions, people like the lower classes wanted food and general better living. Sicily revolutions just wanted to be subject on Naples, the main aim of the revolutions was to change the rules of the church, where as the revolutions in Piedmont, was to demand a contitution. Due to people not all wanting the same thing, this is a reason for why they were unable to have successful revolutions.
Another reason was because of lack of support from people. Most of the revolutions happened because they wanted a contitution. Main supporters of this were educated middle class, , the military and minor nobility. The main reason for this was because these were the people that benefitted from Napoleonic rule. The lower class community, especially the rural peasentary, who were conservative and dominated by the catholic church. The lower classes had no reason to support the revolutions, because they were not interesting in having contitutions but only to have food and stable living conditions, so this weaken the support of the revolutions. .
Further more, lack of cooperation between the revolutionairy groups caused weaknesses. The revolutions could not become unified and work together because all of them wanted different aims. The contitutions all the revolutions were all working for, where all going to be different.
