My Proudest Moment

My proudest moment started a long, long time ago when I was about 5 years old. When I was five I started to learn how to bike. I spent a lot of my free time mastering biking. To perfect a successful bike trip around my house, it took 2 months and a lot of Band-Aids. Upon one of my trips I met my friend Ryan, who so happened to be passing by on his bike. From then on my friend and I have been biking since.
Since then, we have traveled on bike to almost everywhere in Ottawa. Until one day we went to one of the local dirt tracks around our houses. We met a few people there, who were about 20 years of age. They blazed the track with precision and speed, without ever falling of slowing down. My friend and I continued to watch them, till they invited us to a race on the track. We were sure we"d lose but they said they didn't care. So we agreed and failed bitterly. Ryan and I got to know them well enough for them to teach us some biking tips.
After they had left at about 5 PM, Ryan and I were pooped. We were about to go home, but we saw a trail, we figured it leaded to the general direction of our homes so we took it. The hours that we spent on that trail were numerous. We eventually admitted defeat, and Ryan decided to head one direction for a long time, till we got off the trail. We managed to get onto an unknown street, and it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, so we had no idea where we were. We traveled along the road for a long time, but we passed by a clearing to our right, and we saw the greatest set of dirt jumps that we had ever viewed.
Though it was getting late, a good biker never turns away from such an opportunity. So we checked the extremely high, almost vertical dirt mounds. All of them were practically impossible for us at our current shape and ability of biking. Except for one of the jumps that seemed absolutely possible, at the time. Ryan and I were really tired so we decided to get back home and just sleep for the day.
