Unfortunately, in St. Lucia, there is a tremendously high birthrate, that inevitable hinders the progression of St. Lucian society. This is due in part to the large unemployment rate, people have noting better to do, dogs are a delicacy down here. I don't even have a job, when I need money for food I drive some tourists around the island for a day. I would make enough money for the entire week. I don't have to pay for my house because my successful brother, who was emigrated to the U.S sends our family money regularly to pay for the care of our mother.
