Doraemon: the all-time hit Japanese classic cartoon

            If we talk about Japanese cartoons to adults or the non-Japanese-cartoon readers, "Doraemon" will be the top name that they think of, as well as we usually think of "Mickey Mouse" when we think of American cartoons. Doraemon is like the first step of Japanese culture and society flowing continuously into Thailand. It is like the strong bridge bringing Thais to touch Japanese culture and society through its cartoons. .
             Doraemon is the all-time hit Japanese classic cartoon. It firstly appeared as a comic book in 1970 by Hiroshi Fujimoto (Fujiko F. Fujio) and Motoo Abiko (Fujiko Fujio A) teaming up as the name "Fujiko Fujio." It contains hundreds of short series and wonderful adventures to different places in special long stories. Doraemon is the story about Nobi Nobita, a fourth grade boy who is the weakest and least intelligent in the classroom, and his friendship with Doraemon. Doraemon is a round, blue cat-like robot without ears. He is sent for Nobita from Nobita's great-grandson in the 22nd Century. In the future, because of Nobita's mistakes, the entire family is living in poverty. That is why Nobita's descendant sends his family robot back in time to help preventing Nobita from making mistakes with the cool devices from the 22nd Century inside the four-dimensional pocket in front of Doraemon. Nobita and Doraemon become best duos quickly and that is the beginning of many adventures for them. .
             The writer was dead before he could finish Doraemon. That is why there are many rumors about the ending, both in sadness and happiness. Each person claims his ending is the right one. Anyway, the publishing company does not plan to publish the ending. They want to keep Doraemon a classic without an ending. Furthermore, they continuously produce Doraemon as movies to make sure that people will still remember this blue cat-like robot. Also, there is a Doraemon art exhibition held every year in Japan.
