Feminisim in Handmaids Tale

Feminism is shown throughout the novel because the oppressed women are trying to survive in Gilead by any means necessary. Offred has connections through Ofglen by communication, and through her Commander who gets her items off of the Black market like lotion. Moira is the biggest feminist as she resists being subordinated and bounds and gags one of the Aunts in a boiler room (i think) and constantly reeks havoc, until she ends up in Jezebel's.
Moira = as lesbian goes against essential view of women reduced to function. .
Offred = by recording her narrative defies gilead, escapes to world of dream and memory and holds onto love of luke and nick despite attempts to erase it. reconstructs female narrative voice. .
Aunt Lydia = sadistic, enjoys power at red centre. has as much power as a women is allowed with cattle prods though not guns. .
abuses power by refusing to read charges against the subversive man at the salvaging. the only case of a women in authority (excluding the wives) red centre creates a matriarchal society to rival that of gilead and is perhaps more cruel? .
Brief but their is loads you can write on this topic.
Aunt Lydia =exploits gilead for her own power .
Moira=V extreme and rebelius , possibly ends up the worst for this . Although looked up to and admired she is eventually crushed and forced into state sanctioned prostitution . .
Janine=Weak and the Victim ,oppisit of moira . Fully belives in Gilead , belives its herfalt for what happens and goes insane . .
Offred= just a regular person . She tries to keep her head down and get on with it for most of the novel , being obidient to gilead on the outside ,but much of her true inner self survives inside .
