To woman life revolves around a twenty-one day schedule, with interloping PMS, and mood swings. This twenty-one day schedule has been the basis of most of my excitement, as well as humiliation. But then again there's a fine line between humor and humiliation. And luckily I've taken most of my possible humiliation in to total and complete humor. .
The story begins .
I was on my period and I couldn't find ANY tampons around the house. I decided to walk to the closest convenience store to quickly buy some tampons and hurry home. Or so I thought it would be that easy.
I walked into the store, I walked to the sanitation isle and I grabbed a couple of boxes and headed straight for the check out line but then I saw a couple of boys from my school I turned around quickly, with that I grabbed the biggest thing close to me and tried to covered up the boxes of tampons. .
.
They approached me and just kind of stood there for a second with a puzzled look on their faces. We made small talk, and began to say our goodbyes when all of a sudden one of them pointed down and began to laugh. I tried not to look down knowing something horrible was happening. I honestly prayed, prayed for their to be a whole in the floor ready to swallow me whole, or a roach, at that point it could have been anything, but it was the worse thing possible. I looked down and realized I had dropped a box of Depends on the floor! I tried to cover it up by saying, "Just kidding!" and "Wouldn't that be funny if I actually went to the check out line with these!" .
I would've rather have them see me with the tampons than some adult diapers! Or so I told myself, trying to hide my embarrassment. I tried to crawl into my own skin. it was impossible. I picked them up and walked away turning every shade of red possible. .
But then again this life that revolves around the magical twenty-one days is also what brings the entire species of homo-sapient women together.
