Gun Conrtol

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. These words were written for every free American but are slowly becoming a way of the past. The nation's largest gun-control group says it is "dedicated to creating an America free from gun violence, where all Americans are safe at home, at school, at work, and in their communities." Accrding to the "Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence united with the Million Mom March" apparently believes that all Americans can be safe, if we only get rid of all guns. This very group issued a press release saying that "something needs to be done" about various people with guns who, "killed people, wounded people, scared people." The press release lists four crimes committed by people deliberately misusing guns and one "gun scare." The murders of five people at a Meridian, Mississippi factory prompted the Brady Campaign's press release. .
Firearms are used to commit as many as 650,000 crimes each year. But firearms are also used to prevent as many as one million crimes each year. With over 20,000 gun control laws on the books now, how could more laws control guns? .
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good and evil in the heart of men and of women." This quote by Darrell Scott was made before the United States House of Representatives. Mr. Scott should know; he lost his daughter Rachel Joy Scott at the Columbine High School shooting. Mr. Scott did not blame the guns that were used this awful day, he did not blame the school for not have adequate security nor did he blame the Government for not have a gun ban in place. Rather he blamed the students who committed the act.
