Cuchulainn and King Arthur


            Arthur and Cuchulainn are two completely different people, but they share very similar qualities. Although these characters have two different backgrounds, they share several heroic characteristics. These legends carry significant typical characteristics from their medieval times. From their use of magical protection as warriors, to their ability to attract women, King Arthur and Cuchulainn displayed the most similar characteristics.
             King Arthur and Cuchulainn utilized a sort of magical protection. King Arthur had obtained his Excalibur from the stone, which made him king. The Excalibur protected Arthur from mortal injuries. King Arthur had used his magical protection to kill more than three hundreds people charging at him on a hill. Cuchulainn on the other hand has warp-spasms. These warp-spasms enable him to have huge powers that dominate all others. Once, Cuchulainn used this power to jump three walls to save his love. Even though King Arthur and Cuchulainn had their magical protection, they maintained being loyal warriors. .
             Cuchulainn and King Arthur defended their territories with the best of their abilities. Cuchulainn defended Ulster, while Arthur defended England. Both used their powerful abilities for the defense of their country. Much of their lives revolved around war or training. King Arthur and Cuchulainn both gave one hundred percent of themselves at everything they did and met their enemies with more force. Beyond their loyalty as warriors on the battlefield, these men had a romantic side.
             Many women adored "the hound of Ulster?and Wart because of their mightiness. Men feared that Cuchulainn would take their wives so they went looking for a wife for him. Arthur went in search for a wife. Both had slept with more women than just their wives. Women fell in love with these men because Arthur and Cuchulainn could protect them and their families. Cuchulainn were men who could be fierce during battles, but they were still men, and received their loving.
