The War: Good vs. Bad

The current war against Iraq, or as it is being called the Iraqi Freedom, is taken place because of the actions of Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein murdered tens of thousands of his people, he also attacked and invaded many of his neighboring countries. Hussein was given many warnings, deadlines, and chances by the U.S. and the UN. He obviously thought these were bluffs, and ignored all of them.
Now it's time to show Hussein that all Americans mean business. The U.S. must show Saddam that Americans will not stand for the mistreatment of power that he has exemplified. .
For the overall good of the U.S., no one in his frame of mind should retain a position of power. Many people do not understand the problems Saddam has caused for all Americans. There are many reasons I am for war, but one of the main reasons is Hussein has broken rules set by the U.S. and the UN. If these rules are not upheld and enforced; then why would any country follow them? This will question the power of the U.S. and undermines the authority of the UN. This cannot be allowed. If Iraq had been left alone to build up its military and weapons, who knows what would of happened. The U.S. was in the right and had to go to war with Saddam Hussein. .
             Bad.
The United States of America has been fighting battles for the survival of freedom, for centuries. There is never a true winner in the outcome of war. There are always two sides in a war, one for and one against. The army drafts young men at age eighteen, their not even old enough to drink, but allowed to kill people. Many people believe war is a necessity for survival. They also think the economy will not grow, without the war. .
Since the terrorist act on September eleventh, our economy plunged down, probably to its lowest ever. Thousands of people are out of jobs, and many of the people who were fortunate enough to keep their jobs, are working for almost half of what their worth. Many Americans were laid off and had to take jobs they are way to qualified for just to support their families.
