Abortion = Murder!

             Abortion, an extremely controversial subject, became legal in the United States in 1973 with the U. Many people have different ideas when it comes to this topic. Some people believe that the baby inside of them belongs to them and they can do whatever they want to him. Others believe that the baby, an actual human life, breathes and eats and deserves humane treatment. From a Christian perspective, the first lacks credibility. A baby, not just some thing of mush, is a human being and deserves the right to live. He does not deserve punishment for his mother's mistake.
             First, abortion is murder. A baby in his mother's womb has a heartbeat only twenty-two days after the initial fertilization. By week twelve, the baby has all of the parts necessary to experience pain, including nerves. And by week seventeen, a baby can sleep and even dream. At the earliest stage in which people perform abortions, the unborn baby has grown to twenty weeks old. A baby is more than just a fetus that has no feelings or no life and should receive the same right that we all have -- the gift of life. Why deny an innocent child of that gift? Because his mother made a mistake? No way!.
             Secondly, the baby can feel itself getting killed because he has nerves and everything needed to experience pain eight weeks before the abortion can take place. At the performance of an abortion, the baby can feel everything and could possibly be heard screaming if someone put an instrument in a position to hear it. Also, the performance of an abortion occurs by use of a powerful suction tube and a sharp cutting edge inserted into the womb through the dilated cervix. The suction dismembers the body of the developing baby and tears the placenta from the wall of the uterus, sucking blood, amniotic fluid, placental tissue, and fetal parts into a collection bottle. How horrible for a woman to voluntarily do that to her own child, her own flesh and blood.
