Electromagnets

Electromagnets are things that we use every day of our lives. Most of the time, you don't even think about the fact that you are using them. For example, the radio that is playing in the background or the television that is on in the living room is composed of electromagnets. The speakers you hear your favorite television program with are electromagnets. The hard drive that I am saving this newsletter on is an electromagnet. .
So, what is an electromagnet? Well, an electromagnet is a magnet that is made by using electricity. They are made when electrical wiring is wrapped around a piece of metal. This electricity, magnetizes the metal and creates a magnetic field, called an electromagnetic field, that can be harnessed for many uses. These fields can be used to carry sound, store information, power electric motors, and even for transportation.
Modern science uses electromagnets to look at life on a subatomic scale. Using things like an MRI (magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine to look inside a patient and determine whether he or she is in need of surgery. This eliminates the need for dangerous exploratory surgery.
Electromagnets has become an essential part of modern life. Without them, we would have no way to store the information that we use on our computers. The RAM (Random Access Memory) inside our computers utilizes and electromagnetic field to store information as electrical patterns in its circuits., Without electromagnets, we would still have to write everything down with pen and paper. .
