Real Life at Its Most Candid

Professional chefs prepare all animal and insect parts, including "buffalo testicles?" It sounds like these contestants should just be handed the $50,000! Not everyone gets to experience the luxury of being isolated in a pit of 1,000 rats while being served professionally cooked "rectum" on a silver platter. Most of us are just lucky if we can be sit in a rat infested dumpster and eat our McDonald's quality "buffalo testicles.".
Secondly, reality based television shows accurately depict character's personalities by telling the cast members to behave in a certain way to appeal to a diverse group of individuals. The best example to illustrate this point is found on MTV's The Real World. Being the Real World aficionado that I am, I have been fortunate enough to effectively study all of the seasons. From my studies I have found that every season must have the classic "pillar personalities" that are fundamental for any reality-based television show. These "pillar personalities" include: a homosexual, at least one ethnically diverse person who is very defensive about their race, one small-town jock, one whiny girl, one male chauvinist instigator, one feminist instigator, one person who immediately wants to leave the house, and finally one person who is in a "serious" relationship. In order to achieve these "pillar personalities" producers and directors of these reality shows must "direct" the characters to achieve their true personalities hidden within. You see, the male chauvinist instigator might not realize that he is, in fact, a male chauvinist instigator. With a little bit of coaching from an amazing director, the male chauvinist instigator is picking fights with the feminist instigator within no time! At home, the male chauvinist instigator may be completely harmless, but with the director of a reality television show behind him, he is transformed into his real personality. Without the much needed help of these directors, we would never be able to discover the true personalities of the characters.
