The Cold War was a huge point in time for World History. Fukuyama, Huntington, Ajami, and Kaplan had four separate viewpoints on what the World would be like after the Cold War. There were a few points that I have to say I agreed with when it comes to Fukuyama, and Huntington, but also points that I have to say I disagreed with them on.
Francis Fukuyama wrote a very interesting article called "The End of History?" he was mainly saying in a hypothetical sense that the world's society will simply stop evolving and maintain peace, and stability with out war and conflict. He also made a point to say that we will eventually have a liberal government and that is the last government that we will have (Fukuyama). Fukuyama predicted that the end of the Cold War was going to be the last major conflict; " but the end of history as such: that is, the end of man kinds ideological evolution and the universalization of Western liberal democracy as the final form of human democracy" (Fukuyama 2). I agree with his statement, but after the current events of the continuing wars, terrorist attacks of September 11th, the world is still full of conflict and hatred. I do believe that there will be and "End to History" but not until we deal with the conflicts that are going on in current day. Another point that got my attention was Fukuyama pointed out that the end of History will be because of economic and political liberalism, we will end with a liberal government (Fukuyama). How can we end with a liberal government? Yes I do agree that the government is progressively getting more liberal but as we speak Mexico and Australia and other governments are changing, so we will never be able to have a government that will stay the same. But I do agree on the point that there should be a liberal government because I think the liberal government is not only the form of government which is best suited for society, but the government which is most stable for society.
Francis Fukuyama In the essay, The End of History, Fukuyama claims that soon there will be no more history to be made. This is because his definition of history is "mankind's ideological evolution (Fukuyama 201)." ... I partly agree with Fukuyama's view on history. I agree with Fukuyama in the fact that history is mainly based on conflicts. ... Is Fukuyama biased in his viewpoint? ...
One of the most interesting places to visit in Southern California is The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Henry Huntington established it for educational purpose after he resided the site. ... Besides the library exhibition hall, I also went to see the mansion, which is now the Huntington Art Gallery. ... Fortunately, the originality of the Huntington library was easier to be kept because it was not built before the 19th century. ... To conclude, the Huntington Library was such a massive and nice place. ...
Overall, Huntington analyzes world politics, while Taylor focuses on domestic affairs. ... Huntington states that democracy must include two things--contestation and participation (Huntington 7). ... Huntington's understanding of multiculturalism is why he supports democratic consolidation and believes that "Interdependence is the trend of the times" (Huntington 29). ... Huntington would still argue that the politics of difference are too variable and unpredictable and that "Fuzzy norms do not yield useful analysis" (Huntington 9). ... (Huntington 28). ...
As above, Huntington emphasizes that the cause of conflicts in the contemporary world is cultural diversity neither ideological nor economical concern. ... According to Kang (1997), the thesis of Huntington is a means which beautifies the Westerners" violence over weak countries. ... Huntington maintained that the world order is quickening based on the civilization, and the societies which have cultural similarities are cooperating together. ... In "the clash of civilization," Huntington metioned: The West is now at an extraordinary peak of power in relation to other civilizations. ......

Huntington is very well known by his article "The Clash of Civilizations- written in the summer of 1993. ...
